Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search
When a visitor enters a name, location, or other term in a search tool, that query is sent to the third-party provider operating the search. Trinity County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider may process the query under its separate privacy policy.
Messages Sent to Us
Email and contact-form submissions are kept as needed to read and answer the message. We do not share those messages outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law, a valid legal process, or the sender’s request.
Technical Visit Details
As with most websites, ordinary technical information can be recorded when a page loads. This data helps deliver pages, measure use, and diagnose faults. It may include:
- The internet protocol address used for the visit
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages opened and time spent on them
- The referring website, when supplied
- Date and time stamps for requests
Cookie Choices
Cookies can help show how visitors use the site and support site functions. Most browsers allow cookies to be blocked or removed. Turning them off may cause some features to work differently or not retain a chosen setting.
Reasons We Use Data
Information is used only for ordinary site, search, measurement, troubleshooting, and advertising functions, including the following purposes:
- Operate the site and maintain reasonable performance
- Send search requests to the appropriate partner tool
- Understand which pages visitors find useful
- Identify and correct technical problems
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
Privacy Beyond Our Pages
Links may lead to Trinity County release records, sheriff and jail pages, Texas corrections systems, federal portals, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, the destination’s privacy policy and data practices apply. We do not control those systems.
Some advertising partners may use their own technology to recognize activity across websites and select interest-based ads. That processing occurs on the partner’s systems, not on systems controlled by Trinity County Released Inmates.
Limited Data Recipients
We do not sell personal information. Data may be received or processed by these parties when necessary for the stated purpose:
- Search partners that process submitted queries
- Analytics providers that measure site activity
- Advertising networks that deliver or assess ads
- Law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Reasonable Security Measures
We use standard practices intended to protect information in our control. No website, network, storage service, or internet transmission is completely secure. We therefore cannot promise that unauthorized access, loss, or another security incident will never occur.
Adults Only
The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent, guardian, or minor believes such information was submitted, contact us so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
Your Privacy Requests
Depending on the information and the law that applies, a visitor may contact us to exercise these choices regarding data in our control:
- Ask for a copy of personal information we hold
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Ask that eligible personal information be erased
- Opt out of certain processing where that right applies
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this Privacy Notice as the site, providers, or legal requirements change. An updated version becomes available on this page and will carry a new effective date.
